Little One Books Giveaway & Alphabet Adventures Book Review

Where do you purchase your childs books and music? If you are looking for a great selection of educational reading, music and DVD materials, Little One Books has come to the rescue!

Little One Books is a new online company, based in West Seattle, providing books, CDs, and DVDs for children from birth to five years old. To curb the issue of dealing with the overwhelming selection of children’s materials out there, each item in their store has been personally selected to ensure quality and age appropriateness. Thier mission is to help other parents and caregivers make an informed selection for their children, hand picking only the best, quality products in each category.

I was able to select a book from the Little One Books website to review. Not to boast, but MJ is 3 and a tad advanced in the reading and writing department, so I chose from the “Shop By Age: 5 year old” category. I like to push and challenge him to do above and beyond his capabilities, so this was best. There are a bunch of different media materials that cover all sorts of topics appropriate for kids. The book I chose was Alphabet Adventures, by Audrey Wood. This is a tale about a lowercase alphabet that goes on a journey to find the little lost dot on the I. They just learned their correct order and are on their way to a school to help a child learn his ABC’s and must have that dot before they go!

MJ was very intrigued by this book. He sat still and quiet through the whole thing, he didn’t say a word (this is amazing for a squirmy, talkative 3 year old). He was following along with the adventure as the story required that you read the alphabet aloud in the correct order, meet up with a party of capital letters and search for that missing dot! I would recommend this book to any parent with children 3-5 years old. It is an exciting way to get your child involved in learning his or her ABC’s.

Stop by Little One Books today, they have a bunch of books that I have never heard of that look so interesting. The kids will love them! I especially like the fact that Little One Books has a ‘Why We Chose’ section beneath each item, detailing the benefits of the book and why they selected it. Right now, they are offering free shipping and handling on all orders through November 15th, so get a move on with that Christmas shopping and buy early!

Thanks to Little One Books, one lucky reader will win a $25 gift certificate valid for any purchase on their website!
