Tips to Cope With Seasonal Allergies, The all® Free Clear Detergent Test

The one thing I love most about the spring and summer seasons is the warm weather and the ability to get outdoors. My family loves to frolick in the sunshine, splash in the water at the pool, build sand castles at the beach, and roll around in the grass…

Apparently, many outdoor allergens, especially pollen, can get trapped in your clothing. In turn, they can be transported from your shirt and shorts right onto the couch, carpet, bed sheets, and anywhere else you sit in the home. MJ and I have a mild case of allergies, pollen, trees, weeds, grass and other irritants in the air trigger a runny nose and watery eyes. I could definitely do without these allergy symptoms! There’s not much that we can do while we’re outside, tis Mother Nature. The last thing we want to do is bring all of those allergens into the house, we’d be a total allergy-ridden mess!

Before you head out, try taking an over-the-counter antihistamine. It’s better to curb those symptoms before they get a chance to kick in! Claritin seems to be a popular choice (never used it before), they also have a formula specifically for kids.

Dress appropriately for the occasion. Yes, it’s super warm out, but if you’re going to be enjoying a picnic lunch on the grass, you might want to cover up those legs with some loose fitting pants.

Maintain your home. Close your windows, clean your air conditioners filters, and keep your carpet fresh and clean. Also, keep your rugs and surfaces clean to prevent build up of dust. Ahh-choo!

Keep your clothes, sheets, and linens clean with an allergen free detergent. I would recommend all® free clear laundry detergent, which is also recommended by dermatologists and allergists for sensitive skin, removing 99 percent spring allergens. Dr  Neil Kao, MD, an internal medicine physician at the Allergic Disease and Asthma Center told WebMD that “after you come inside on a nice spring day, you are literally covered in allergens,” says Kao. “You track it through your house, and worse, you get in bed covered with the pollen or grass spores that make you congested. Guess what? Now you are going to lie in it for eight hours and wake up feeling miserable.”

I tried out the all® free clear laundry detergent on our laundry last night. I am very pleased with the results! It’s mild formula is free of perfumes, dyes yet still has a fresh, clean scent. While I cannot measure how much pollen and other allergens were removed, I will say that my son’s baseball uniform was in the load and the dirt and grass stains came out rather nicely.  I will be using all® free clear laundry detergent on our pillows, blankets and sheets. I love having the peace of mind knowing that we won’t be inhaling allergens all night long.

Keep your household clean and allergy free with the help of all® free clear, it’s the best laundry detergent that I have tried that is made to be gentle and clean well at the same time.
