BlogHer has come and gone in what seems like a whirlwind. I am jet lagged, delirious and don’t even want to sort through the 204 emails that I let pile up while on a computer hiatus. Yes, 4 days away from the computer, and it was golden!
I would not have been able to attend the BlogHer conference in New York if it weren’t for Pampers. As a member of the Pampers Baby Board, I was luckily able to go as one of their ambassadors. I saw a bunch of bloggers I knew and connected with new ones that I hope to call friends. Trust me, I have received a lot of love, support and friendship via my online circle, sometimes more than my friends in real life! I was also introduced to some amazing brands, products, and representatives who cater to the wonderful world of women.
Here’s a brief recap of some of the cool stuff I did:
Attended the Parents Night Out Dinner, presented by Pampers. Delicious food from the Arno Restaurant, fun (and wine) with friends, and talk about some great stuff coming up in the Pampers pipeline make for a great night! We went to see the Broadway play, Wicked, after dinner. It was amazing!
We attended the Hasbro Party at the Edison Ballroom. We played a bunch of themed games and tested out a lot of new Hasbro and Playskool toys. Also, My Little Pony got married! They passed out champagne flutes and delicious finger foods and desserts, a toast to the bride and groom!
We got gorgeous at the Getting Gorgeous Event, CVS Beauty offered plenty of services. I am on the right trying to catch Box Tops!
Mom Select Suite. There were a bunch of exhibitors, but I managed to get a picture of the best swag there…
In the Expo Hall…
President Barack Obama took the time out of his busy schedule to address the BlogHer attendees! Goes to show what a force women in the blogging world have become. In the midst of a re-election campaign, you must be strategic, so it’s awesome to know that we matter
The Hershey’s and Walmart Camp Bondfire S’mores Suite. I made two. Judge me.
Samsung Booth. Playing Angry Birds on new control-free technology!
Awesome fruit display at the Dole Booth, an island shipwreck scene!
A little costume fun in the Dannon Photo Booth! They had some tasty flavors to offer, the new banana bread Activia Breakfast Blend is delicious!
Around New York City…
Ah, the hustle and bustle of Times Square.
Our hotel, The Time. A friend told me that there is a myth that this hotel is haunted… I must have stayed there while the ghosts were on vacation!
Food Trucking with friends down at the Seaport, New York City
The pole of HOPE. A random motivational pole we found in NYC near the Highline. We loved it, added our own tag.
There was sooo much more that I did, saw, ate. Wicked was WICKED AWESOME! The World Trade Center renovation is coming along nicely. I also got a stab at a Magnolia Bakery cupcake. YUM! I rode the famed subway for the first time, I might have lost a couple pounds from all of the walking we did! I was so exhausted, I appreciated my bed and hugs from my family once I got home. Nothing better! All in all, I had a wonderful time and I enjoyed the experience.
BlogHer 2013 is in Chicago next year. Who’s going?
