Sunday Morning Brunch: Cheesy Bacon and Egg Pizza

This post brought to you by KRAFT Natural Shredded Cheese and Safeway. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever had pizza in the morning?

I have, but it wasn’t what you think. During my broke college days, I had to eat what was available. Sometimes, it was last nights pizza for breakfast. Today, in 2014, this is absolutely unacceptable, unless…

YOU MAKE A MORNING PIZZA.

A fresh, piping hot one, with all of the morning fixins. And that I did, KRAFT had an amazing recipe for a Cheesy Morning Pizza and I had to give it a try!

I stopped by my local Vons, which happens to be a Safeway store, to pick up the ingredients. When it comes to cheese, I look for KRAFT Natural Cheeses, which they carry – perfect! They were prominently available in the cheese aisle, KRAFT shredded chesses now come in a stand-up pouch that uses less packaging. Also, it’s very easy to scoop and pour out of the package.

Anyway, on to the recipe! We made this a few nights ago and ate it for dinner. It was so quick and easy to throw together and pop into the oven. Here’s how to make this cheesy bacony goodness…

Cheesy Morning Pizza

Original Recipe by KRAFT

Ingredients:

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups KRAFT Natural Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 6 slices of OSCAR MAYER bacon, cooked
  • 4 eggs

Heat the oven at 375 degrees. Grab a pizza pan or a baking sheet, spray lightly with cooking spray, and stretch the pizza dough across the bottom of it.

Top the dough with half of the KRAFT Natural Cheese and half of the green onions, leaving spaces untopped for the eggs. Crack the eggs into a bowl and scramble them, slowly pour them onto the dough. Top with the bacon, tomato slices, and the rest of the cheese and green onions. Try to avoid topping the eggs.

Bake your pizza for 23 – 25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Set it out to cool and slice! My kids can get a bit picky, so I made sure to use less onion and cut off the crust edges of the pizza. We love how it turned out!

Make this, please, and use some extra bacon. Be sure to stop by Safeway stores to get KRAFT Natural Cheeses in stand-up pouches, and Safeway Just For You online to see how you can save at Safeway everyday.
