Looking to reduce your carbon footprint this Earth Day? We’ve partnered with megabus to share these environmentally friendly ways to travel this month, such great ideas!
April is Earth month! I am always looking for ways to recycle, reduce consumption and waste, and tread a little lighter on the world, especially around Earth Day. It’s a great reminder that the life on our planet is precious and should be conserved as much as possible, and I am happy to share a few wonderful, eco-friendly ways to travel and get around town! No matter where you’re headed, you can help reduce the carbon footprint on our planet with these environmentally friendly ways to travel this month.
3 Awesome Environmentally Friendly Ways To Travel
1.Local travel by bicycle – If you live within 10 miles of the places you often go, such as work, school, the grocery store, the gym, or the post office, ride your bike! Bring a backpack to store your belongings, and also to carry your tennis shoes and a bike helmet. You’ll save a ton of gas and mileage on your own car, plus the exercise is good for you.
2. Carpool with friends – If you’re all going to the same place, there’s no need to drive separate cars. Jump into one vehicle and hit the highway! Less cars on the road means you can help reduce emissions by quite a bit, especially if you do this often. You can also take advantage of local ride share and carpool organizations, check them out in your immediate area.
3. Long distance travel – If you’re traveling this month, ditch your vehicle and ride the megabus! This is an affordable, eco-friendly form of transportation that is perfect to save on fuel costs and carbon emissions. We realize that all cities are not well equipped with public transportation, so taking the megabus is the perfect way to sit back and relax as you take the family to your destination.
