1. Maui, Hawaii Maui has been on the bucket list for quite some time now, can you believe that I have yet to visit? I have been to Hawaii, but it’s been a few years and I only visited Honolulu. Maui is a Hawaiian paradise that is perfect for families, offering gorgeous weather and beautiful scenery, surf, sun and sand! I would love to take the kids on a hike to see the waterfall in Hana.

#PuertoRico. The view from our hotel room is amazing! Can’t wait to get down there #travel #pool #caribbean #beachlife #resort @MarriottResorts View on Instagram

2. San Juan, Puerto Rico

I went to Puerto Rico for the first time this year and I did not want to come home! The way of life there is so relaxed, and with their gorgeous beaches, turquoise waters, vast rainforest, and amazing cuisine, there is much to enjoy. The photo above is the view from our room at the Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort. We stayed right on the water, visited Old San Juan, took a snorkeling and catamaran tour, hiked El Yunque rainforest, and ate GOOD. Must try: Churrasco con chimichurri.

3. Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica I have been here twice, and I simply cannot get over the beauty of this country! Manuel Antonio is a great tourist spot where you can access pretty much everything, the beach, rainforest, and abundance of wildlife all in one place. It’s quite stunning! Stay at Si Como No Resort and Wildlife Refuge, perfectly equipped for families.

4. Cancun, Mexico This is another one of those bucket listers that I haven’t been to yet. Cancun is so close, so I am a little ashamed that it hasn’t happened yet. Bask in the sunshine at one of their pristine beaches, take in the history of the ancient ruins, explore the mangroves in a kayak or take an adventurous snorkeling or zip lining tour. I want to do it all!

5. Turks and Caicos, Caribbean

I am currently dying of jealousy, lots of my friends are at Turks and Caicos for a social media conference! They’re all staying at the Beaches Resort and having an amazing time, kids included. I would love to take my kids, they haven’t been to the Caribbean yet and this resort looks amazing! One of the best times to visit the Caribbean is late November through December, and it’s a little over an hour flight outside of Miami. I’d say go for it!

I think Turks and Caicos is next for us, such a gorgeous island in the Caribbean. I do suggest snorkeling in Puerto Rico, we went with Dragonfly Tours. Outstanding! First, get passports for the kiddos, they expired!

Where are you traveling that has warm weather this winter?

  • I’m not a big beach person, but these all look quite beautiful. I liked Turks and Caicos the most, but it’s probably because of the warm colors of your chosen picture. What’s your favorite beach activity?
