Cereal and milk are life savers. LIFE. SAVERS.
This morning was one of the worst, my 7 year old was ok, but the 3 year old… UGH. She didn’t want to wake up, didn’t want to pee, spat all over when I was brushing her teeth, wriggled and cried when I was attempting to dress her and was so upset when I was doing her hair. PHEW! Most mornings she’s so cooperative, but occasionally, she’s in a whole other world of her own.
She didn’t seem to calm down until it was time for breakfast. Kellogg’s Raisin Bran is one of her favorites, so when she saw her brother at the table next to the cereal box, all was good! There’s just something about that first meal of the day that gets the energy going, I am glad she is a raisin bran fan or i’d be toast!
All in a bowl of Kellogg’s cereal
Besides taming to occasional morning tantrum, cereal and milk provide the necessary vitamins and minerals that we need to get a great start to our day. It’s important to get whole grains to refuel and proteins to rebuild after a good nights sleep each morning. Add some fresh blueberries, strawberries or bananas to enhance the nutrition and the flavor, we always do! The moment my daughter got to eating at the table, she somehow felt that everything would be alright, no matter how tired she was. She’ll remember these comforting moments, for sure.
Y’all: Kellogg’s Raisin Bran is my personal trick for melt down prevention in a box. Thank goodness for quick, nutritional breakfast options from Kellogg’s, a great start to a great day!
