I am proud to say that I am now a babywearing mama! There are a bunch of types of carriers and slings out there, but the ERGObaby Carrier takes the cake.
ERGOBaby strives to offer products to make babywearing safe, easy and comfortable. Their carrier is a wonderful hands-free system that is an all-in-one baby carrier, which can be used in the front, back and hip position, from infant to toddler ages. It’s quality construction, soft, durable materials and easy buckling system make the ERGObaby Carrier one of the most functional on the market.
The ERGObaby Carrier safety tested for children up to 90 lbs, is machine washable and will last for many years, just in case I decide to have more children in the future. ERGO extensively tests their carriers by thousands of parents, boasting and innovative design that supports a natural sitting position for babies, eliminating compression of the spine and hips that can be caused by unsupported suspension. The baby carrier also balances the baby’s weight to parents’ hips and shoulders, and alleviates physical stress for the parent.
I received the Original Galaxy Gray ERGObaby Carrier to review. I must say that this has been one of the most useful baby products that I have received thus far! Having an infant is quite the demanding task, they require round the clock care and leave little time to handle other work and household duties. I have been using the carrier since Baby Girl was a week old and it has given my arms a break from holding her so often. I can wash dishes, toss in a load of laundry, do some cooking prep, or even take a walk around the block, or the Zoo (actually did this last weekend)! I even took MJ outside the other day and played basketball with him while Baby Girl watched in her ERGObaby Carrier! Check us out:

Now that Baby Girl is a bit older, I love taking her out in the ERGObaby Carrier to the grocery store, the park, and any other place that I might be walking around. I face her forward while she is awake so she can see what’s going on and feel like she’s a part of the family. I can easily turn her around when she gets sleepy and wishes to rest her head, which is supported pretty well by the infant insert for babies up to 4 months old. It sorta feels like wearing a backpack on the front. There is also a pull-out sleeping hood that can be buttoned on either side of the shoulder straps to cover baby’s head. I like the closeness factor, I feel like I am holding her right up against my heart, making her feel safe, warm and secure.

I love that I can be productive and stay hands free for long periods of time and still give my daughter the attention and closeness that she needs. I get oohs and aahs in public and plenty of compliments and inquiries about this carrier, moms and dads really want to know how they can get their hands on one! Be sure to stop by ERGObaby.com and check out the great original, performance, sport, and organic carriers in various colors and designs. Trust me, you WANT one of these!
