Apple Cranberry Cider Recipe, A Warm Fall Beverage

Fall is here! Is it getting cold where you live yet?

As Fall sets in and temperatures cool us off, people are looking to warm up. I thought it would be nice to try an old favorite, with a twist. This apple cider is easy to make, using delicious juices and savory spices that make this warm fall drink a hit! Time to cozy up in front of the fire…

Spiced Apple Cranberry Cider

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups apple cider or juice
  • 4 cups cranberry juice or cocktail
  • 10 packets of Sweet’N Low
  • 1 apple, sliced thin
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • fresh cranberries for garnish (optional)

In a sauce pan, bring the apple juice / cider to a boil. Add the cranberry juice, Sweet’N Low, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and half of the slices of apple. Lower heat, stir and simmer for 10 minutes.

Strain the cider mixture using a cheesecloth or another strainer (coffee filter, wire mesh, thick paper towel) and pour into heat safe mugs. Garnish each with a slice of apple and a cinnamon stick, and serve!

Apple and Cranberry Cider

Warm up this Fall with apple cranberry cider, this is good stuff y’all! Using Sweet’N Low is a great way to serve guilt-free drinks which also happen to be diabetic friendly. We loved these, they had the right amount of sweet and spice! Kids can drink this too, unless you decide to add a little brandy. I won’t tell.
