Keeping Cool at the Pool with Otter Pops!

This post brought to you by Jel Sert. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s HOT! Here’s what we’ve been doing… Otter Popping at the pool!

The swimming pool has been our savior for the past couple of weeks, thank goodness we have one in our complex! The kids really enjoy pool days, they ask if we can bring out some toys, drinks and snacks for the afternoon. This time, we went with a classic: Otter Pops!

Otter Pops remind me so much of my carefree, childhood days. Fun in the sun was always better when we had a Strawberry Short Kook or Alexander the Grape Otter Pops to enjoy. They are made with real fruit juice, so I have no problem continuing the tradition with my kids.

Along with making thirst quenching Otter Pops, they have an Otter Popstars website full of fun stuff for the kids to keep busy this summer. There are fun how-tos, music, videos, and you can get to know the Otter Pop “band” members. My son was all over this site, he was even inspired to make his own piece of art.

He loves to draw rainbows, so he said this was the Otter Pop rainbow. I asked him why he drew the sun, his answer: “Because we always eat them when it’s hot!”

I will be keeping Otter Pops on deck throughout the summer, gotta beat the heat! Check out for a little online fun and follow along with Otter Pops on Facebook, or Chat with the Otter Pop Stars on Twitter! Stay cool out there!

If you would like to try some Otter Pops this summer with your family, leave me a comment on this post telling everyone what flavor your kids would love the most. One lucky commenter will win 2 boxes of Otter Pops! For extra entries, follow mommy_GAGA on Twitter, @OtterPops on Twitter, and send out a tweet using @OtterPops and #YouOtterKnow. Leave an additional comment for each one you complete. Contest ends Saturday, July 13, good luck!
