My Make Up Removal Routine: 3 Steps To Keeping Skin Radiant and Hydrated

How do you remove your make up at the end of the day? I have partnered with Social Stars and Aveeno® to share my make up removal routine, using natural products that work great for me. #Aveeno

It doesn’t look like much, but here’s what make up I wear: concealer stick, face powder, eye liner, mascara, eye shadow, lip stick. My make up tends to be light, giving off a natural look,, but I still need it to come all the way off, every night.

How do you remove your make up at night? It is important to remove all of the make up on your face, every night, making sure to clear your pores of concealer, foundation, powder, eye shadow, mascara, eye liner, and obliterate any bacteria that may have attached itself to your face throughout the day.

Isn’t it easier to just jump in the shower and scrub your face with the soap and towel you’ve got in there? Yes, it is probably easier, but it is WRONG. Facial skin is a little more sensitive than the rest of the body, so those wash cloths and abrasive soaps in your shower are detrimental to your face! Plus, don’t you want to be sure that the entirety of your make up actually comes off, leaving zero remnants or dark circles?

Aveeno® Positively Radiant® make up removing wipes are large enough to use just one

As a busy mom, I know that we’d all rather just jump into bed at the end of the day. Trust me, I’ve considered it, but it’s just not reality, y’all. I have gotten into a make up removal routine that has proven to be good for my face. It includes products from the Aveeno® Active Naturals® line, which uses oats, soy, and other natural properties in their products that balance and rejuvenate the skin. Take the time to take care of your skin, you’ll love the results!

My 3 Step Nightly Make Up Removal Routine

Removing eye make up with Aveeno® Positively Radiant® wipes

1.  Remove

I simply remove my make up with Aveeno® Positively Radiant® makeup removing wipes. Using ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex, a natural ingredient that uses soy beans to nourish and even out the skin, just one large wipe will remove all of the dirt, oil, make up, literally everything on my entire face! They are super gentle, so it doesn’t dry out my skin. Lightly wipe your face with (1) Aveeno® Positively Radiant® make up remover wipe, in a circular motion. Fold the wipe over as you go, making sure to get the entirety of your face.

2. Clean

After my face is completely make up free, I wash with luke warm water and a gentle facial cleanser. No wash cloth, nothing abrasive, just the foam and my hands. I have used a few different cleansers, just make sure that it’s gentle for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic, and uses natural ingredients. Lather your facial cleanser in your clean hands, add a little warm water and gently massage into your face. Rinse with warm water.

3. Moisturize

Once my face is clean, it’s time to re-moisturize. I use an SPF facial lotion right after drying off my face when it’s still a little damp. Aveeno® makes a tinted CC moisturizing cream that I use during the day, or if applying before bed, I use Aveeno® Ultra-Calming® SPF 15 Daily Moisturizer.
