Looking for ways to stimulate your baby’s senses over the summer? We’re partnering with P&G to share our favorite places to take baby during the warm summer months. These places are perfect to engage baby’s senses and are fun for the whole family!
The sun is shining and it’s time to head outdoors! If you’ve got babies and toddlers, it’s even more fun to explore your city and all of it’s adventures that will help your little ones enjoy sensory experiences to help them learn and thrive. Before you head outdoors, it’s important that you make sure that you’re armed with all of the essentials, including leak-free Pampers Cruisers diapers, wipes, sunscreen, shades, and other necessities available at Rite Aid for a smooth day out.
It’s so much fun to head outdoors when it’s warm out, but where are some good places to take baby? Although family outings are tons of fun, I do not recommend taking fresh newborns out on your adventures just yet. When your baby is at least 6 months old, it’s fun to spend some of your summer days out and about exploring! Pack your summer essentials bag – we’re sharing some fun places to take baby this summer, plus everything you need for a day out with baby to make sure you’re prepared and have a successful outing.
5 Engaging Places To Take Baby Out On A Beautiful Summer Day
Picnic at a playground
Pack your lunch to go and a blanket and head out to the park! This is a fun place for babies and toddlers to explore. They love to see what’s going on in the world around them, and they will enjoy seeing other kids play, feeling the blades of grass around them, and rolling, crawling, and toddling around the play areas!
Spend the day at a farmer’s market
A day at the farmer’s market can be lots of fun for baby. There are lots of different sights, smells, and sounds to take in, and that can be super exhilarating for baby’s senses! Strap your baby or toddler into a carrier or a stroller with plenty of space for them to be able to see. I love sampling all of the fruits and veggies at the farmer’s market, and if you’re comfortable, your kids can, too! This was one of my favorite places to take baby.
Feed and pet animals at a local farm
Visiting your local farm could also be a fun day out with baby. Petting different animal textures and seeing how they move, eat, and live are fun and educational experiences. Don’t forget the Pampers wipes, they’ll come in handy to clean those little hands after petting animals and for moms hands, too!
Visit a hands on museum
Children’s museums, science museums, and even art museums are great places to take your little ones. There is usually a section devoted to small visitors, which means fun hands on exhibits for you baby or toddler! Explore fun sounds, colors, shapes, textures, and activities that will blow your child’s sensory processors away.
Enjoy a day at the aquarium
Take your little ones to explore life under the sea at your local aquarium! The sight and sound of water, and the fish and other ocean life are really neat to look at. You can wear baby or use a stroller as you go through the exhibits. Make sure you pack some leak-free Pampers Cruisers diapers to keep your baby clean and safe while you’re out for the day!
