Last weekend, it hit 80 degrees here in San Diego. What do us locals do when it gets hot? Hit the San Diego beaches!
We went to Pacific Beach, just south of La Jolla and full of sun, sand and surf! It is a great beach for families during the day, with a nice long boardwalk, beach side shops, eateries, hotels and much more. Watch out as night falls, the area is hustling and bustling with bars and some of the eateries turn into dance clubs as young adults enjoying the fun beach life. Not the best place for the kiddos, but if you are child-free, it’s a heap of fun! Not too shabby for the middle of April, eh?
I wouldn’t recommend swimming unless you don’t mind cold water! It was fun to splash around a little, though.

There are plenty of fun things to do in San Diego, and I would have to say that the beach is one of the main San Diego attractions. If you are planning to travel to San Diego with your family, be sure to hit the beach!

The beach is my favorite place for fun too!
My children would love to have a beach so close, we have never been to one! Your little ones are so cute! The pics are great, thank you for the post.
