The 52 Week Money Saving Challenge: I’m IN!

The internet has been abuzz with this whole 52 week money saving challenge. Basically, you will save the dollar amount for each number of the week you’re on. Week 1 would be $1, week 2 would be $2, and so on. By the time you get the week 52, you’ll put in your final $52 and will have saved $1,378!

I decided to jump on the money challenge wagon, i’m in. I purchased a jar and glued the 52 Week Money Challenge card to it. I’ll have to put in $3 this week for missing the first week on January. I am confident I can make it all the way through. I think the worst part is remembering to have the exact amount of cash for the week. I know I’ll be fine through the summer, but those last months… ugh!

Here’s the image, if you’re interested in printing it out…

Have you decided to take the 52 week money challenge? What would you do with the money in 2014?

  • Although this means the cost the loan is high for the borrower, getting a payday loan despite bad credit is the key advantage.
When everything is said and done, if you’re only option is to go ahead with a payday payday loan loan, know that there is help available should there come a time that you need it.

  • Someone sent me this via pintrest and I love the idea. I know what many mean by maybe starting it backwards as December is a tight money month, however I am thinking that if I make the challeng all the way to December I will be VERY motivated to make those last contributions! We get our summer rental reservation in January and right now it’s a PINCH to come up with, this will let me have the CASH on hand come January 2014!!! Now, to make it a HABIT!!

  • I love it. Just heard about it and now im all caught up. My daughter an i are doing it. Trying to get a few more people in to make it really interesting. Gotta come up with some kind of incentive to keep them going cause as you no when time get tight we will pull that money quick and forget to replace it. I love it, great ideal whoever came up with it. Think im only gonna do 48wks but put in money for the whole 52 so i can have money to shop on Black Friday.

  • My husband and I began the 52 Week Financial Challenge July 2010 on You Tube and we are so grateful to God for how it continues to grow and grow and grow years later! When I say grow…it has grown to THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of people doing it on FB, Instagram, Twitter and all over the web. If you have a dream…DO IT!

  • My daughter and I are doing this (mostly me) to have spending cash when we go to Disney World this year for Christmas. This will be our first trip together!

  • I keep seeing this posted on facebook and pinterest, it looks like a really good idea especially if you have something specific that you are saving up for.

  • I’m in, too! But I’m going backwards…it is easier (while I’m still excited) to put in the larger amounts now. I already have $153 put away! 🙂
