Loving These Trail Mix Cornucopia Treats for Thanksgiving!

Looking for a fun, creative snack idea for Thanksgiving that will please the crowds? Target, having a plethora of holiday foods and decor pieces, presented the cutest and most functional treat idea at the Coca Cola conference I attended. It’s absolutely perfect for decorating each place setting on the dinner table and for holding over the hungry while the food is still cooking. Keep the kids’ fingers out of the food!

Cornucopias are associated with the harvest during the Thanksgiving holiday, so these are a such great idea! These trail mix cornucopias are simple to make, try your hand at them with the instructions below.

Trail Mix Cornucopia Treats

What you’ll need:

  • Market Pantry ice cream sugar cones
  • Market Pantry trail mix
  • Assorted printed paper
  • Assorted decorative ribbon
The cornucopias pictured above were created right in front of my eyes with ease! Simply take your paper and cut into a 6 x 6 in. square (or larger if you have bigger cones). Align one of the corners of the paper with the bottom tip of the cone and roll it tightly around the cone so that it is completely covered. Seal with piece of clear tape or use a glue stick on the underside of the paper. Trim any excess paper, then tie your ribbon around the cone into a pretty bow and fill with trail mix or other snack mixes and enjoy!

It’s easy and affordable to make your own Thanksgiving table decorations, great craft idea, no? These cornucopias come out adorable and are sure to delight your guests. You can totally pass these out as a pre-meal treat, or keep them on the table to double as a decorative piece. If you are having a big party, tie them up in clear plastic or cellophane bags and give them out as Thanksgiving favors. Thanks for sharing these, Target!

Love this side dish recipe for a Butternut Squash Roasted Vegetable Medley, it’s so good! Definitely a family favorite.
