Oh. My. Eww.
When is the last time you had your carpet cleaned in your home? Saddle up friends, because you are about to learn why you will never want to touch a carpet again!
This could be your little guy…
According to eHow:
The average homeowners’ carpet harbors about 200,000 bacteria on every square inch, about 4,000 times as much as their toilet seat. Skin cells, food particles, and pollen can all feed bacteria living in carpeting, and unfortunately, most vacuums don’t have the suction power to remove all of them.
Ok, so you will touch your carpet again. So will your kids. And pets. And visitors. The amount of bacteria, which includes salmonella, E.coli, and staph, is overwhelming! Since you cannot rid your carpet of these pesky invisible bacteria, who by the way, are feasting on your carpets food particles, skin cells, pollen, pet dander, and the like, you MUST get your carpets cleaned!
- Your kids will benefit – If your children are anything like mine, they LIVE on the floor. They play with toys, lie down in front of the tv, run, fall, and slide, and even eat snacks on the floor. The bacteria infested carpet area, specifically. Let them roll carefree!
- A vacuum alone won’t cut it – Vacuums are great for sucking up surface particles, but it doesn’t get what’s festering deep down.
- It will look and smell fresh – Cleaning your carpet will not only kill that vicious bacteria, it will also brighten your carpets look! Plus, that conditioner they spray smells pretty good, too.
- Protect your most expensive investment – Your carpet is one of the most expensive home furnishings to replace, so take good care of it.
We have not had ours done since last year, I know that a good carpet cleaning has got to happen around here. Professionals suggest you get er done at least once per year, and if you have pets kids, or heavy foot traffic, once every 6 months.
Go. Now. If not for you, do it for the KIDS!
How often do you clean your carpets?
