Green Whoopie Pies Recipe for St. Patrick's Day

This green whoopie pies recipe made with cake mix is the perfect green dessert to try for St. Patrick's Day!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box white cake mix plus the ingredients to prepare
  • Green food coloring
  • 2 cans of frosting your choice (we used chocolate!)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your cake mix as directed. Add about 40-50 drops of McCormick’s green food coloring extract to the mixture and stir until combined.
  • Grab a greased cookie sheet and slowly pour cake the green batter into equal-sized rounds, about 2 inches apart from each other. Bake for about 10 minutes, remove from oven and let cool.
  • Frost one of your whoopie pie halves on the flat side. Take another half and sandwich it on top of the frosting. Add sprinkles or other fun garnish (optional).
