  • 1 - 10 oz. package of marshmallows
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Treats
  • 1/8 tsp. vanilla
  • orange and yellow food coloring

Instructions

  • Spray a 9-inch cake pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan on your stovetop on low heat. When the butter is completely melted, add marshmallows. Stir until all marshmallows are melted. Remove the marshmallow mixture from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • Separate your marshmallow mixture into three separate bowls loosely into thirds – one for each color. Make sure that one of the bowls has a little bit more marshmallow than the others, this will be the yellow bowl.
  • Add 6-10 drops of yellow food coloring to the bowl with the most marshmallow and add 6-10 drops of orange food coloring to the next bowl. The third and last marshmallow mixture will remain white.
  • Add Rice Krispies cereal equally to each colored marshmallow bowl – this should be about 2 cups of cereal per bowl. remember to add just a little bit more to the yellow bowl. Stir until cereal is completely coated with marshmallow.
  • Spread the yellow Rice Krispies mixture around the outer edge of the pan, forming it evenly with your hands. This should take up about 1/3 of the space inside of the pan.
  • Create the orange ring on the inside, forming it to the same size and height as the yellow ring. Fill the middle with the white Rice Krispies mixture. Press down to make sure the top is even. Allow treats to cool and set for about 20 minutes.
  • Invert candy corn Rice Krispies Treats onto a large plate. Slice into triangles.
