  • cookie sheet
  • Rolling Pin
  • Wax or parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 10 oz. package of marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • red or pink-colored candy melts
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat and add the marshmallows. Stir until they’re completely melted.
  • Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
  • Spoon Rice Krispies mixture into your cookie sheet and evenly press the mixture all the way down. Flatten it out completely.
  • Before the Rice Krispies Treats cool completely, gently press your heart-shaped cookie cutter into the treats as many times as you can across the cookie sheet.
  • Remove hearts from the cookie sheet, press the remaining edges of the Rice Krispies Treats together again, roll it out over parchment paper and cut out hearts from the remaining Rice Krispies.
  • Heat your chocolate candy melts according to package instructions. Dip half of the heart into the Wilton Red Candy Melts, then cover with Valentine’s Day colored sprinkles.
  • Carefully place each heart back onto the parchment papered cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet n the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until the dipped chocolate/candy melts have hardened.
