The BLACK PANTHER premiere in Hollywood, California was so amazing, it was truly a beautiful, star studded event to celebrate the upcoming release of the film! Thanks to Disney for inviting us to the #BlackPantherEvent.
YOU GUYS. I know y’all remember when I told you I was going to the Black Panther movie premiere and press event, right? Well, I just got back from an amazing few days in Los Angeles for the Black Panther premiere in Hollywood and O.M.G. The star studded event was full of Hollywood’s top actors, specifically black actors, and it felt so good to just be there, to take it all in, and soak up all the melanin that graced the carpet! In addition, the movie was BEYOND expectations, and the whole event was just well executed. I really hope you’ve been following along with us, it was such a wonderful experience!
Marvel’s Black Panther Premiere In Hollywood Was Literally Everything
Attending a movie premiere is truly a magical event, but Y’ALL. There’s something different about BLACK PANTHER. Walking the red (ahem, purple) carpet with a diverse array of people who actually look like me is what gets me the most. It’s been along time coming, and I was ecstatic to be there among the likes of the amazing people who made this happen. The feeling of being able to witness the premiere of the first black superhero movie is intense, and I am so excited to have been a part of it!
Here is a glimpse of my experience at the Black Panther movie premiere…
Entering the Black Panther premiere in Hollywood was overwhelming at first, there were so many people and cameras and lights that it was hard to see! Once we got into the main area, it was like we’d entered the beautiful land of Wakanda! Everyone was dressed to impress, in dazzling gowns, fabulous hats, and many were wearing traditional African clothing to celebrate. It was a bustling, busy carpet, but I snapped as many photos as I could and really enjoyed every moment. I was thrilled to see Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Forrest Whittaker, Angela Bassett, and Sterling K. Brown from the movie, and also Garcelle Beauvais, Yara Shahidi, Meagan Good, Snoop Dogg, and other actors that came to support the film.
After about 10 minutes or so on the purple carpet, it was time for everyone to head into the theater, the movie was starting! We hustled into the Dolby Theater (yes, that is where they host the Oscars!) and took our seats. The cast was introduced on the stage, one by one, and the standing ovation of an applause they received was astounding! Once the cast and directors took their seats, it began. The movie was flawless, truly well done from start to finish and I can’t wait for you to see it! It’s got about a 2+ hour run time, and I didn’t want it to end. The story is really good, the action, suspense, and digital graphics were the most amazing that I’ve ever seen, and the movie is really, surprisingly FUNNY!
