We got a chance to stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort this past weekend during the Social Media Moms conference, I don’t think they could have picked a better hotel! Visit your favorite theme parks, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and return to your comfortable room. Check out some of the photos, my kids really loved the swimming pool and water slide!

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by Disney enthused staff members who make your check in a delight. Remember, the concierge is on this level to assist you with anything you need during your stay. The lobby area of the Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort is beautifully decorated, I’d love to have these gorgeous modern dangling chandelier in my home!

All checked in, we headed up to the 10th floor. Looking down, you can see where the monorail runs right through the hotel (not too loud, you cannot hear it in rooms) and an aerial view of Fantasia, a small souvenir shop. On that same level, there is an arcade, a market, and a few restaurants.

We opened up the door to our room and instantly fell in love with our home for the next few days! The fresh, modern look was awesome, with small Disney touches throughout. Can you see Mickey Mouse stitched on the small, yellow pillows?

Love the seating area, the nautical striped pillow gives a nice finishing touch…

A work space is available in the corner of the room, plenty of outlets to plug up! We had free wifi in our room as well.

A nice spacious bathroom, dual sinks, shower and bath tub combo, and a separate toilet area. The sinks were pretty low, I am assuming so children can reach.

This Mickey Mouse towel creation was on our bed when we arrived, love this simple little added touch!

The real beauty of the Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort came to light when we opened the patio door. Gah! The balcony has seating for two and overlooks the Bay. Simply gorgeous view! The railing on the balcony has small openings so little ones cannot stick their limbs all the way through.

After we enjoyed watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks show from the Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort viewing point, we returned to our room to a surprise: a light show on the bay!

There are a bunch of dining options at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, choose from casual dining at Contempo Cafe, fine dining at California Grill, character dining at Chef Mickey’s or you can order room service.

Among all of this, there are plenty of other things to do at the resort. Choose from water activities and rentals (wake boarding, water skiing, parasailing, fishing, tubing), volleyball, tennis, a resort camp fire, The Game Station arcade, enjoy a movie under the stars, and even take a Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise!

Staying at the Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort property was one of the best parts of our trip. Talk about enhancing our vacation! It was so easy to be able to enjoy all of Disney’s parks and attractions, the monorail and bus system got us everywhere we needed to go. I definitely recommend staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, a great place to relax, yet be involved in all of the fun activities at the same time!

Do yourself a favor: Book it!

Disclosure: I was invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, there are no obligations that I attend or write about my experience. No compensation or sponsorship was received, discounts were offered for lodging, meals and activities and some gifts were provided during our visit.

  • Love your site! :). Following you on twitter & Pinterest now. Found you thru the TypeA linky about DisneySMMoms convention, and love the pics of the Contemporary resort.

  • I agree, staying at Disney is THE thing to do to experience the parks the best way. We stayed at All Star Sports resort back in 2000, and the good thing is that Disney has great packages and plans for every budget. The perks of staying at the resort are nice too. Glad you enjoyed yourself, the view in the pics above was amazing!
