Want to teach your kids how to pack their own lunch for school? This printable school lunch packing chart will help kids learn how to pick the best wholesome foods for a balanced meal. Trust me parents – you WANT your kids to pack their own lunches – one less thing on your plate in the morning!
The back to school season is in full swing, and I am so happy that my kids are learning, laughing and living! We moved and recently changed school districts, and it’s wonderful to see that the kids are flourishing.
We’ve been working on choosing the right foods to pack for lunch, and seriously, this is a work in progress. My son will get the fresh fruit or vegetable portion down, but then add 3 snacks and aĀ candy bar that are just NO. Recently, I’ve been buyingĀ Chobani KidsĀ® Greek Yogurt Pouches and Tubes – full of real fruit andĀ natural, preservative-free ingredients, and live and active cultures to help the digestive system along. My son uses them as the entree portion on the printable school lunch packing chart.
You NEED this printable school lunch packing chart!
I try to follow the recommended food plate guidelines, including, fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, protein and grains. After many shady lunch attempts and lots of “Mom, I don’t know what to pack!” whines, I decided that I would make a printable school lunch packing chart for my kids to follow. It’s up on theĀ kitchen wallĀ and serves as a reminder to pick an item from each category, I’ve worked dairy, grains, protein wherever I could while still making sure there were foods that my kids would actually eat.
If your kids need a little help packing the appropriate lunch items, print out ourĀ “Learn to Pack Your School Lunch” chart here. Chobani KidsĀ® Greek Yogurt pouches fit in so well, they actually meet my required daily fruit and dairy standards and my kids love them! They’ve started taking them everywhere, my 4 year old is a fan of the Spiderman strawberry pouch so she brings them along with us as an after school snack.
Happy school lunch packing!

for revisiting. I wonder how much effort you put to create such a excellent informative web site.
Note: Prior to preparing or distributing any food in the classroom, make sure you are aware of children’s allergies
or dietary restrictions and caution kids about choking hazards.
