Where in the world is Phuket, Thailand? Southeast Asia

There are many islands in Southeast Asia, and Phuket is one that I hear about most for it’s gorgeous beaches! Phuket is located on it’s own island off of the West coast of Thailand, in the Andaman Sea. It is the largest island, and is widely known as a tourist attraction to travelers worldwide. Although the sandy beaches in Phuket, Thailand are a main attraction, there are another 32 small islands off of it’s coast, the province is the second smallest in Thailand. (Wikipedia)

Where to stay in Phuket, Thailand: Angsana Laguna Resort

Phuket has many family friendly hotels, but I am liking to sound of Angsana Laguna Resort. If you’re looking for beaches in Phuket, Thailand, this resort sits on the beautiful Bang Tao Bay in the northwest area of the island. This beach front resort is truly a playground for the whole family, take a dip in one of the sparkling pools, kayak at the beach, have a luxurious massage at the onsite spa, and enjoy your stay. Kids can take advantage of the Tree House Kids Club, and participate in family yoga and even take an elephant safari! Also, kids under 12 eat, stay and play for free.

Top things to do in Phuket, Thailand: Ride an elephant!

All areas of tropical Thailand are full of wildlife, and Phuket is no exception! Elephant trekking is a super popular attraction that the whole family can enjoy. There are various elephant camps in Phuket where guests can feed, learn about and ride wild elephants. Trek through the mountains, or in the hills overlooking the bay. Many of these camps are near the tourist hotel areas, and provide transportation, meals and a great time! Info.
