I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for the Waterfall Group. I received a gift basket and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I have had Alaska on my travel bucket list for a few years now. I feel like most people think of the beach when it comes to vacationing, but Alaska is a place with a relaxing, cool atmosphere in the northern hemisphere. How amazing would it be to see the majestic ice glaciers and enjoy fishing, outdoor adventures and wildlife like no other?
If you’re a big outdoors junkie, you’ll absolutely love staying at The Waterfall Resort or the Steamboat Bay Fishing Club, two spectacular fishing lodges in Alaska! Both of these properties are water front, situated along the coast on Alaska’s inside passage and offer luxury accommodations, and everything you need to take advantage of one of the most famous fishing locations in the world. Guests catch red snapper, king salmon, black bass, halibut, and many more species of fish.
Should I stay at The Waterfall Resort or at Steamboat Bay?
There are plenty of great reasons to stay at The Waterfall Resort and Steamboat Bay Fishing Club, but how do you choose? Here’s a little more info about each property:
The Waterfall Resort
This is Alaska’s most popular fishing lodge, this original. flagship property is best for large groups. Converted from a seafood cannery in the early 1900’s, it is located on the west side of Price of Wales Island near the Inside Passage, a huge spot for fishing. It is all inclusive, staff have plenty of experience and work to be sure that guests can focus on fishing and relaxation. All of the fishing equipment is provided, fish are cleaned and processed, and a chef is on site to prepare and deliver 3 meals a day. This property is located in the Tongass National Forest and boasts the most gorgeous scenic trails and shorelines in Alaska.
Steamboat Bay Fishing Club
Steamboat Bay seems to be more of a luxury retreat. They have the ability to host smaller groups, this lodge is located on Noyes Island and seems to be a little more of a quaint getaway from the larger crowds. Steamboat Bay is the closest to Alaska’s Inside Passage, one of the best fishing spots in the world. This is an artisan handcrafted property, which has ocean front rooms a bit like a wooden cabins with decks, wood burning stoves, and amazing scenic views. Take a guided sport fishing tour on a 25 foot cabin cruiser, fishing is so easy when everything is included!
