I had such a great time on my trip to the Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks! As a part of the Disney Pixar Brave and Cars Land event, I got to check out the new Cars Land attraction in the California Adventure Park. It is absolutely amazing!
Any fan of the series of Disney’s Cars movies would LOVE to visit Cars Land. The 12 acre attraction is the crown jewel of the 5 year expansion of excitement that has been added to Disney’s California Adventure Park. Disney does an amazing job of immersing guests right into the scenes of the movie. Radiator Springs, the town in the actual movie, comes to life with an authentic feel of Route 66: a life-like mountain range resembling Ornament Valley, Flo’s V8 Cafe, The Cozy Cone Motel, Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater character sightings, stop lights, street signs and more. The amount of detail is jaw dropping.
There are a variety of themed attractions, restaurants, shops, activities and rides, but my personal favorite is the Radiator Springs Racers! A leisurely, scenic tour of Ornament Valley turns into an all-out race for the Piston Cup as guests race side-by-side through the mountain range, around Willy’s Butte and past the plunging waterfall, Radiator Falls – all familiar sights to fans of the movie. It was all sorts of fun!
I took a few photos while I was on the ride, I love how it takes you through Radiator Springs in your race car. We jumped into the 6 passenger drop top convertible and got a few tips from Doc Hudson. You will meet plenty of animated Cars characters along the way, and once you have gone through a few scenes from the movie, it’s off to the races! The engine revs up and the car takes off, hold on to your hats, folks! You never know who’s gonna win!
My kids are going to love this ride! The height requirement is 40 inches, so Baby Girl might be able to get on when we go back this fall. In addition to Radiator Springs Racers, there is the Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree ride where you ride on the back of Mater’s tractor and the Luigi’s Flying Tires attraction, a fun floating tire ride! Our Cars Land adventure was nothing short of amazing, be sure to check out the new Disney California Adventure expansion!

It’s a pleasure to find such rationality in an answer. Welcome to the debate.
Good point. I hadn’t thought about it quite that way. 🙂
