The Muppets movie premiere
If you were following along last week, you saw that I took a trip to LA with Disney for the premiere of The Muppets Most Wanted Movie! El Capitan Theater was dressed up for the occasion, with a bunch of Muppets decor from the movie and a dazzling red carpet. It was packed with actors from the film, Disney channel stars, other celebrities, and of course, MUPPETS. We had so much fun!
If you have ever wondered what it’s like to be at a Disney movie premiere, here is an inside look:
In Hollywood for the Muppets Most Wanted movie
We got dressed to impress and arrived at El Capitan Theater about 30 minutes early. The red carpet was already lined with media, press, photographers, and what looked like hundreds of fans who were all waiting to get a piece of the action. I wore a colorful, striped dress from Forever 21 and some BCBG black and nude pointed toe pumps.
We walked down the red carpet right behind the gorgeous Tiny Fey, who had just arrived. I got a quick shot of her. It was all decked out with all-Muppet-everything!
Fun Muppets movie premiere photos
A few of the Muppets, Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Constantine, (learn how to draw the Muppets here) chatted with Terry Crews about the movie at the end of the red carpet.
Before we went into the theater, I saw Terry Crews, Skai Jackson, Peyton List, and Tia Mowry. Some of my favorites in Hollywood!
We went into the theater, grabbed our popcorn and enjoyed the premiere of Muppets Most Wanted. It received applause at the end, I just loved the movie! When it was over, the after party commenced across the street. The bar was stocked and ready, food was served at different international themed stations, and everyone from the premiere was mixing, mingling, and having a great time!
The Muppets Most Wanted after-party
Check out the atmosphere! There was a Muppets art station for the kids, a cute little ball game, and tons of spots for photo opps. Also, a few of us snagged Ty Burrell for a quick shot…
Then we jumped into the green screen photo booth for a fun picture with Constantine!
It was a ton of fun, these pictures are nice but they just don’t do it justice! I am so thankful to be able to attend this event, a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Muppets Most Wanted is a must-see movie for the whole family, join Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, Gonzo, and the rest of the gang in theaters on March 21, 2014!
5 Reasons You Should Go See The Muppets Most Wanted Movie
1. The Muppets are BACK!
I’d think that’s quite enough! No, but really, they have been around for years and are historically known for making people laugh. Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy are known worldwide by adults and children alike, so we know that where there’s Muppets, there’s traditional high-energy, silliness, laughter, and light-hearted fun.
2. Musical style, with fun, catchy, and sometimes cheesy Muppet-esque tunes
The Muppets are good for some giddy, catchy tunes, and obviously, since they’re going on an international tour, there are plenty in the movie! The entire Muppets gang sings throughout their shows, Constantine does a couple of hilarious numbers, the prisoners in the Russian Gulag have a few great get-ups, and Miss Piggy even gets to live her dream of singing with a special celebrity cameo (see below).
3. Comedic, entertaining scenes for all ages
There are plenty of witty jokes and one-liners that appeal to all audiences. There are moments for Muppet lovers, including jokes around Miss Piggy’s long-time love for Kermit, as well as blatantly naive moments that the Muppets have. Also, there are plenty of slips and falls, silly songs, sly jokes, explosions, mayhem, and other stuff that kids get a kick out of.
4. Meet a new character: Constantine
There haven’t been very many new character introductions to the Muppets franchise as of late, so it’s refreshing to meet Constantine. I think it’s cool that he’s a Russian villain, you never get a new character that’s a bad guy. Hope he’s here to stay, like Kermit’s permanent nemesis!
5. Celebrity cameos and pop culture references
There are so many celebrity cameos that get a laugh every time they pop up! Adults loved seeing Celine Dion, Ray Liotta, Danny Trejo, and Salma Hayek, while kids would enjoy seeing Usher, Lady Gaga, and Ross Lynch! Also, brace yourself for many references of today’s pop culture, it’s pretty funny!
