Do your kids moan and grown about eating the same old meals? Mine do. I love sharing the table with them each night, but we end up short on time and I end up having to throw something together. When it’s the same ol’ tacos and spaghetti, I feel like I have to force feed them. Here’s a little something for us to look forward to…

 

Slow Cooker Thai Spiced Chicken Wings

 

Family time is precious to me, I enjoy the moments we share together. During the week, it seems like dinner time is all we have. We are chicken lovers, so I thought I’d try House of Tsang® Bangkok Peanut Sauce™ on some wings, slow cooker style. Made with flavors of garlic, ginger and lemongrass, it gives the chicken a mild nutty flavor with a hint of spice. Here’s a new chicken recipe that will bring your family to the table. It’s made in your slow cooker, so it’s pretty hands off, just takes a little planning but it’s well worth it! Family approved.

 

Thai Peanut Spiced Chicken Wings – In The Slow Cooker!

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken party wings
  • 1 cup House of Tsang® Bangkok Peanut Sauce™
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced
  • 1/8 cup onion, sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • optional garnish: green onion, sesame seeds

 

Slow cooker chicken recipe with House of Tsang Bangkok Peanut Sauce

 

Rinse your chicken wings and pat to dry, season with salt and pepper. Pour water, garlic and onion into the bottom of the slow cooker, add chicken and spread evenly into the cooker. Spread half of the Bangkok Peanut Sauce™ over the top of the chicken.

 

Making Thai Peanut Spiced Chicken in a Crock Pot

 

Cover and cook on high for 2.5 – 3 hours. When finished, remove wings and set into a large bowl. Add the remaining Bangkok Peanut Sauce™ to the chicken wings and carefully toss to coat. Plate and serve, family style!

What I like about this recipe is that I can throw everything together, set, and forget. I chose to serve these chicken wings with rice and a side of stir fried vegetables, HORMEL® products really make it easy for me to get food on the table for family meals together when we’re pressed for time.   • Oh these look so good! My family loves the chicken dinners on rice…I have not tried a Thai peanut one before. Looks so good and easy in the crockpot!

  • My husband would love these, I love how simple they are to make. I especially love that you can put them in the slow cooker and walk away while it cooks. Now that the weather is getting colder I like to use my slow cooker often.
