Our experience at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos was nothing short of an amazing family vacation. If you are looking for a fabulous all-inclusive resort in Cabo, this is the one!
All-inclusive Hotels in San Jose del Cabo
It’s no secret – we are a traveling family and we love to explore new places and spaces. I have a natural wanderlust in me that is clearly rubbing off on my kids. They love to hop on a plane or just on the road and explore! One thing we have come to love in a vacation is an all-inclusive hotel or resort.
We went to San Jose del Cabo in Mexico for the first time together and we knew we just had to stay at an all-inclusive resort in Cabo, Mexico!
Hyatt Ziva hotel in Cabo
We researched many different properties and agreed that the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos hotel would be our top choice. If you have never been to an all-inclusive, it’s easy to be enamored by the location and views, but the food and resort amenities are where it’s at!
The Hyatt Ziva delivered on every turn – from the excellent service to the fabulous cuisine, resort activities, and more – and we will definitely go back!
Our stay at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
There are so many things about this resort that my family enjoyed. I’m telling you, this hotel Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos All-inclusive experience was one of our best yet! There are lots of all-inclusive hotels in the area, but we really love that we picked a great one. I do think that if you are going to stay in the San Jose del Cabo area, this is the place.
Our guest room at Hyatt Ziva Cabo
Upon checking into our room, we were delighted with the clean, fresh, and modern look and feel of the place. We stayed in an Oceanview Double Master room at the Hyatt Ziva.
The room is huge – 584 square feet – and amenities include two double-sized beds, a pull-out sofa, a complimentary mini-bar, a deep massage bathtub, a small living and dining area, room service, and the A/C was easy to use and worked well, just how we like it.
Below is the bathroom area, that deep soaking massage tub is divine! There is a stand-up shower as well.
The best rooms at Hyatt Ziva
Obviously, the best rooms at Hyatt Ziva Cabo are going to be the oceanfront and oceanview rooms and suites. I mean, I love a good swim-out patio, but that means you will have a room on the ground floor and will sacrifice the amazing ocean view!
Here is the view from our balcony, we were in building C on the 4th floor, overlooking the pool and ocean on the inside of the resort.
Hyatt Ziva all-inclusive food
I have been to quite a few different all-inclusive resorts and the food here at the Hyatt Ziva is by far some of the best I have had! With 7 restaurants serving Italian, Mexican, Japanese, French, (2) International Buffets, multiple bars, and more, the options are plentiful.
We ate at both International Buffets, La Plaza and El Molino, DoZo for Japanese, Zaffiro for Italian food, and the Coco Loco Snack bar. We also visited the Piano Bar, Spirit of 1968 Sports Bar, Bar AZul, and the 24-hour Coffee House.
Here is a picture of breakfast from the La Plaza buffet. I think I got the same fresh-made omelet, bacon, chilaquiles, and guacamole every day – it was that good!
We ate at DoZo Asian Restaurant and absolutely LOVED the sushi and this curried fish plate!
All in all, the food was amazing and I wish I had more still photos to share. If you watch our YouTube video below, you will see lots of footage of the buffets and other food options that we loved.
Swim and play at Hyatt Ziva resort
The Ziva has 2 hot tubs and 4 different pools – these include an infinity pool, a kids waterpark and pool, an adults-only pool, and more.
The KidZ area features a small pool, a fun waterpark, and a kids’ club with activities planned throughout the day. My little one had a blast on these slides, the big one jumped on there for a bit, too! There is also a Teens Club full of games and other fun activities for the older kids.
This is the swim-up bar at the Infinity pool. I am pretty sure these kids ordered 15+ virgin pina coladas per day!
Drop off the kids at the KidZ Club, grab a margarita, and take a dip in the adults-only pool, pictured below!
More Entertainment at Hyatt Los Cabos
While the pools are KidZ club are fabulous ways to stay entertained here, there are so many more fun activities to love. Here’s some of our experience with the fun entertainment at Hyatt Ziva…
We sipped on cocktails (sodas for the kids) and played pool at the Spirit of 68 sports bar.
One afternoon, vendors were set up throughout the main areas of the Hyatt property. It was so nice to be able to browse through and shop these cute little traditional shops – it’s like they brought a little bit of Mexican culture right onto the resort!
One evening, we caught one of the resort’s live entertainment shows. This traditional Mexican performance was awesome to watch!
One evening after dinner, we came out to the main pool area to see burning fire pits and were surprised by this awesome lights show! Performers were dressed in neon-lighted costumes that glowed so vibrantly in the dark and listening to the music and the faint sound of the waves crash behind them was so nice.
There are lots of other activities we did not get to try, such as a workout in the full state-of-the-art gym, a day spa (extra charge), impromptu dance lessons and Spanish language lessons, water fitness activities, and using their volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts.
