It’s another beautiful day here in sunny San Diego. We paid a visit to Carlsbad U-Pick Strawberry Fields, I think we ate more than we took home! Strawberry picking is such a fun thing to do in San Diego. If you are ever out this way during the Spring and Summer months, I highly recommend that you give this a try and bring the whole family.
Strawberry Picking in San Diego
We love heading up the Interstate 5 and picking strawberries in Carlsbad! We have been going strawberry picking here every spring for the past 10-ish years to pick strawberries, a fun San Diego family activity! The berries are always juicy, sweet, and bright red – truly the best quality. Recently, they have added a few bounce houses, a sunflower maze, food vendors, outdoor games, and some other fun activities for the kids.

When is strawberry season?
Strawberry season usually falls between the months of February to July. Some farms start earlier and can end later dependent upon the weather and the abundance of their crops for the year.
The Carlsbad Strawberry Company is open for u-pick strawberry season through those months and will close when it rains or the strawberries are no longer plentiful. They do stay open year-round and sell strawberries and other fresh produce out of their farm stand.
