Have you tried pancake sausage dippers?
I don’t know about you all, but we’re big fans of breakfast around here! As Easter Sunday approaches, we’ve been thinking about delicious and easy food ideas to make this year for brunch.
Our family gathers each year for the festivities, so it’s important to make a fun, tasty menu that stands out. Pancakes with sausage is always a good idea, so the kids are going to love trying these pancake dippers with turkey sausage. They’re packed with flavor and so much fun to dip in maple syrup!
Sausage in a pancake blanket
What I love about these turkey sausage pancake roll ups is that they are super easy to make, my kids love them, and that they’re made with pure maple syrup and Johnsonville turkey sausage links, which are a little bit healthier than traditional pork sausage (feel free to use pork sausage links if you love them!).
These little sausage pancake dippers are also packed with flavor and easy to add to any breakfast dish. The last thing we want to do is spend all of our time cooking in the kitchen, so this quick and easy brunch recipe is perfect for us. Less time in the kitchen means more time with family!
Easy Turkey Sausage and Pancake Rolls
These little pancake sausage bites are so easy to make and fun to eat. Take a look at the recipe below…
How to Make Pancake-Wrapped Sausage Links
First, you’ll preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is heating, make your pancakes and allow them to cool. You can make your favorite pancakes from scratch or buy frozen pancakes. These pancakes are about 3 inches in size, which is typically the perfect size for this recipe!
Next, prepare the turkey sausage as instructed on the package. Luckily, this specific pack of Johnsonville turkey sausage links is pre-cooked, no there are no extra steps necessary!
Place a small amount of maple syrup into the middle of each pancake, then roll in a sausage link and secure the two overlapping ends with a toothpick. Lay all of the pancake sausage roll-ups into a casserole dish and bake them at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. This allows the pancake to set in place a bit.
Serve your pigs in a blanket
Remove the toothpicks and arrange them onto a serving plate with the open side down. Serve your turkey sausage pancake roll-ups with maple syrup and dip to your heart’s content! Don’t forget to either remove or watch out for the toothpicks before eating these little piggies.
*Do NOT serve pancake sausage bites with toothpicks in them to children.

More tips for your sausage pancake bites
- Can I use frozen pancakes for this recipe?
Yes! Frozen pancakes are the perfect size and make this recipe even quicker to prepare. - What kind of sausage works best?
We love using Johnsonville Turkey Sausage Links because they’re pre-cooked and lower in fat. Do not use sausage patties, as it might make the pancake rolls too thick to close. - Can I make these ahead of time?
Yes, you can prep them the night before and bake before serving. You will have to reheat them, so make sure you use a low heat setting to avoid overcooking your pancake and sausage dippers.
