Have you ever wanted to make something sweet without having to leave the house? Maybe just a small amount of dessert using ingredients you already have in your pantry? Well, I had the same dilemma this weekend and I made it happen!
|Easy Double Chocolate Chip Cookies|
I wanted to make dessert after dinner, but I was badly in need of a trip to the grocery store so I couldn’t make anything fancy. I also did not want to make a huge cake or a batch of 1,000 cookies, there are only 4 of us and we definitely do not need prolonged sweets in our house! I was able to tweak a cookie recipe using a few less ingredients to make it simple, yet super tasty! This recipe makes about 24 cookies, so you can double it if you do in fact want more. Try it out tonight!
EASY DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 stick butter (softened)
1 1/8 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
12 oz. bag of chocolate morsels
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a standard cookie sheet. In a mixing bowl, mix butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla together until well mixed and creamy. Then, stir in the egg.
Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in another bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the creamy batter and mix until well blended and thick. Fold the chocolate chips into the batter, then spoon small balls of batter on to the cookie sheet, spacing them about an inch apart. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. I like mine chewy and soft, so I took them out at 13 minutes. If youlike yours crunchy, 15 minutes will do. Enjoy!
