Cupid’s Heart Glow Stick Valentines
We really loved making these cute printable Cupid’s heart Valentines. They say “You make me glow” and come in 4 colors. This is a fun, hands-on, non-candy Valentine for the kids to pass out at school. Here is how to make them…
Materials needed:
- White card stock paper
- Color printer – we have an HP DeskJet and it is a great home printer/copier/fax/scanner!
- 8″ glow stick bracelets
- Scissors
- School glue
- Free glow stick Valentine printables (RED, BLUE, PURPLE, GREEN)
Step 1: Print and cut out the glow stick valentine PDFs
These DIY Valentine cards are pretty easy to make. To get started, print out the following PDF sheets on thick, white card stock paper. There are 4 heart sets per page, choose from 4 different colors: RED, BLUE, PURPLE, GREEN.
Next, cut out each Cupid heart and the black bow and arrow pieces at the bottom of each page.
Step 2: Cut slits in each heart to add glow sticks
Now, this part is for adults: cut a slit on each side of the heart in a slanted, off-center fashion with open scissors. Gently press the blade of the scissors through each slit to make an opening for the glow stick. Make sure the hole is small enough to hold the glow stick in securely.
Next, put in the glow stick. Slowly insert it into one of the holes from the front of the Valentine. Push the stick through the back and out of the hole on the other side. Be careful not to crack the sticks during this process, I accidentally set off a few of the glow sticks!
Step 3: Add Cupid’s heart arrow pieces
Each glow stick bracelet comes with a connector, so place it on the back end of the glow stick. To make Cupid’s bow, put a dot of glue on each end of the glow stick and carefully place the black arrow cutouts. Allow the glue to dry.
This is a fun Valentine for school-aged children to pass out, the kids love them some glow sticks! I hope you enjoy this DIY Cupid’s heart glow stick Valentines craft, please share with others.

Great post!
Thank you! Love this!!!!!
could you make the printable in just black and white? i don’t have a color printer so I’m thinking of printing onto colored paper 🙂
If I have time, I am a busy woman! Note: the white parts wouldn’t print out if you don’t have a color printer, it would all be black. Maybe try going to a printing store?
Love them too….but am trying to use my Silhouette to print and got them out. It works but I can’t get all
the hearts to be the same size. WOndering if anyone else tried and had some hints for me.
thanks
a grandma who is trying to help her grandaugher!
